Description:
This catalog for an exhibition held at Takashimaya (a Japanese department store that used to be on Fifth Avenue in NYC) makes it clear that Isamu Noguchi's lamps are more art than design. The book includes an essay by architects and exhibition designers Tod Williams and Billie Tsien who also supply an essay and floor plan for the book. The rest is made up of beautiful black & white photos of the lamps and an essay by Bruce Altshuler.
