Description:
A collection of lantern slide shows produced by the Victorian churches and temperance societies to illustrate such social evils as alcohol, gambling, and the neglect of children. The original magic lantern slides reproduced here were studio produced using professional models, painted backcloths, and sets. The glass slides were colored by hand.
